Trade Marketing Executive

Trade Marketing

The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and implementing all trade related customer activities, through developing & implementing BTL strategies and store-specific programs and promotions, within brand guidelines.

Some Main Responsibilities include:
  • Develop and execute an annual Trade Marketing Plan by Channel for key customers in conjunction with sales and marketing teams and aligned to brand objectives to reach consumers.
  • Ensure full understanding of changing trade dynamics and development in the FMCG industry, in order to recommend effective channel & sales strategies that will give our Brands and Company a competitive edge.
  • Keep track, analyse and evaluate brand profitability for rentals biannually.
  • Identify customers who do not meet the profitability standard and recommend appropriate action.
  • Interact with Marketing regarding deadlines / lead time required for promotions, to ensure effective implementation by the sales and merchandising
  • Ascertain new product launches, distribution tracking, secondary displays, planograms and etc.
  • Lead monthly Trade Activities Meeting.
  • Perform on-going negotiation with Third Party Suppliers to optimize costs and drive efficiency across the brands, development of preferred supplier lists, recruitment of new suppliers
  • Assist in the conceptualization of customer and/or channel specific POS, promotional materials and signage related to trade activities
  • Drive the Company's vision of “Best in Class” at the Point of Sale (POS)
  • Plan and execute Channel Trade Marketing objectives, store-specific activations, trade promotions and co-ops for the key accounts in-line with customer calendar or activity schedule, to achieve brand sales objectives.
  • Manage the rollout of in-store promotional campaigns in collaboration with marketing and sales teams.
  • Track, monitor, and report key competitor activities at a Channel level, providing insights/plans to drive competitive advantage
  • Manage Trade Marketing budget allocation by brand.
  • Audit the Trade regularly to ensure brands have optimum visibility & displays in their respective Channels-ensuring all promotional executions have been executed to plan.
  • Visit the points of sales regularly to ensure that the brand is visible, and guidelines are implemented based on the brand strategy.
  • Analyze trade to identify opportunities for signage, enhanced POP materials, exclusive promotions, etc. for categories under purview.
  • Perform other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company
Knowledge, Experience and Requirement:
  • Degree in Marketing / Business Management or related field.
  • A minimum of one (2) years similar experience in a FMCG Company, preferably food & beverages industry
  • Or relevant combination of training and experience
Key Competencies:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of basic shipping principles, duties and tariff structures, customs documentation, shipping process
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
